On Free Fishing Days, DNR says Hoosiers can fish public waters and state parks without a fishing license or a salmon/trout stamp. Free Fishing Days are a great opportunity for families to learn to fish together because adults do not need a fishing license on those days. Children 17 and younger do not need a license on any day.
As a part of the Free Fishing Day event, a “Family Learn to Fish” workshop will take place at Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge in Seymour from 9 a.m. to noon. Advance registration is required by calling 812-522-4352, extension 12, or emailing email@example.com.
