NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The North Vernon City Council has said “yes” to building a Boys and Girls Club in Jennings County. Council unanimously agreed to the be lead applicant for the $500,000 grant needed to build the facility, provided the city met the requirement of not having more than two open grants. The council has scheduled a public hearing on the Foundation’s grant proposal for Monday, April 22, at 6 p.m., at city hall. Groundbreaking is expected in June 2020, if all goes well.
