Schneck Medical Center Accepting Nursing Scholarship Applications

SEYMOUR, Ind. – Schneck Medical Center is accepting applications for the Dr. Bud Scholarship for registered nursing school students. The Dr. Bud Scholarship was established in honor of Dr. H.P. “Bud” Graessle, of Seymour, a practicing physician and surgeon for 53 years. Candidates pursuing a course of study to become a registered nurse and have successfully completed their freshman year of registered nursing program at an accredited school and registered in a registered nursing program are encouraged to apply for consideration. Scholarship applications must be received by May 17, and are available here.

Schneck ranked top 20 rural and community hospital

SEYMOUR, Ind. – The National Rural Health Association (NHRA) has announced that Schneck Medican Center, in Seymour, has been named one of the Top 20 Rural Community Hospitals in the country. The recognition is based on an evaluation of impatient market share, outpatient market share, quality, outcomes, patient perspectives, costs, charge, and financial stability. “Schneck is proud of the efforts of its physicians and staff who have contributed to our organization achieving this designation,” said Warren Forgey, President and CEO of Schneck. Indiana had a total of three hospitals ranked in the top 20.
